Welcome
Lesson Reading
You have finished the five Pathmark courses.
Scripture. Missions. Discipleship. Worship. Fellowship. Five doctrines. Five shapes. Five Core Values for life at Mayflower.
A Core Value marks a visible, intentional pattern of living, drawn from Scripture and shaped by our shared values, that sets out the pathway of discipleship for all who walk with Mayflower Church. Each Core Value points us toward Christ and guides us, together, in walking as His people in the world.
Set up road marks for yourself; make yourself guideposts; consider well the highway, the road by which you went. (Jeremiah 31:21)
That is what these five courses have given you. Five guideposts on the highway home.
This capstone is short. About twenty-five minutes. It does not teach new doctrine. It gathers the five courses into one path. It asks you to stand back and see the whole.
Then it asks you to do one thing. You are going to write a personal covenant. Five lines. One for each Core Value. A specific commitment for how you will live out that Core Value at Mayflower from here forward.
This is not a quiz. It is a moment.
You have spent hours of careful reading working through what Mayflower believes about the Word, mission, discipleship, worship, and fellowship. The question now is what you will do with what you have read.
Have your Bible nearby. Have something to write on, or have the keyboard ready. Begin with prayer. Ask the Lord to show you honestly where you stand, and to give you the grace to name a faithful next step.
