Living on Mission

Your new life in Christ is not just for you. God saved you, and He also sent you. Every believer is a missionary, not by moving overseas, but by living as a witness right where God has already placed you.

As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you. (John 20:21)

Look at your life. Your neighborhood. Your workplace. Your school. Your family. Your gym, your coffee shop, the people you see every week here in Kingston and across the South Shore. God did not put you there by accident. Those are your mission field.

Living on mission does not mean becoming a different person. It means letting Christ shape the ordinary places you already live. It looks like this:

• Be present. Know the people around you. Learn their names and their stories.

• Be different. Live with the kind of love, patience, and integrity that makes people wonder where it comes from.

• Be ready. When someone asks about your hope, tell them about Jesus. Use the 3 Circles if it helps.

• Be sent. Ask God where He wants you to go and whom He wants you to reach.

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. (Matthew 5:14)

You will not do this perfectly, and you do not have to. God uses ordinary, willing people. The same gospel that rescued you is the gospel He now sends you to carry. Ask Him today: Lord, who in my life needs to hear about You, and how can I begin?

The mission is not a program. It is your life, lived on purpose, for the One who saved you.
